Just in time for The PGA Championship, NGN previews the 2011 Nike Zoom TW golf shoe. Tiger has been wearing switching between the 2010 Air Zoom TW in Black/Gunmetal-Black and has been seen in this model as recently as the World Golf Championship and the 139th Open Championship. However, when Tiger has chosen to wear white shoes this year, he has picked the 2011 Air Zoom TW in the White/Silver colorway. He practiced in them today as well.
This new model is a departure from the 2010 and 2009 models which both featured ballistic mesh siding, combined with leather uppers. In fact, upon closer look, the 2011 model is identical to the 2010 model with leather replacing the mesh. However, Nike did not detract its functionality, and instead replaced the premium leather it used with a waterproof performance leather with hydrophobic treatment. The TWs will still include the lateral stabilizer, the zoom unit, the sockliner, and the TW power platform. The great thing about the 2011 model is that depending on whether or not you like the balistic mesh, you have both mesh and full leather choices. OR you can just get both!
