What the Athletes Wore at The PGA Championship

What a wild and dramatic finish to the 92nd PGA Championship at Whistling Straits. Amidst bunker-gate, Bubba’s approach on 18 during the playoff, and a number of great (and not-so-great) shots out of rough 20 feet below greens, did you manage to check out the Nike Golf 2010 Fall/Holiday collection on its athletes?

If you did, you got a chance to preview what we’re going to see very soon, including this shoulder grid polo that Stewart Cink wore on Sunday. If you didn’t, we’ll help you see how player scripting came alive on Nike Golf Athletes.

The apparel lines keep getting better and better, and there’s so much more than what we saw in Sheboygan, but let’s take a look at what we saw over the past four days.

Paul Casey:  PC wore the UV Rugby Stripe Polo (my personal favorite) on Friday. The Debossed Plaid Polo on Sunday in Victory Green was also a good luck for the Englishman.

Simon Dyson: Did you see Simon’s pink pants on Sunday? I hope you had your sunglasses on!

Round 1 Round 4

Stewart Cink: Stew had 4 different colored hats for each day of the tournament, but only used two. He also debuted the Alpine Print polo and was scheduled to wear the UV Heather Stripe polo, but it appears he went for the UV Bold Stripe Polo instead

Round 1 Round 2 Round 3 Round 4

Charl Schwartzel: Plain and simple for the South African. Lots of whites and greys.

Round 1 Round 2

Carl Pettersson: Check out this “Football Blue” Body Mapping Stripe polo and big visor on Carl. Scripting called for a matching visor but he went for the white version.

Round 3

Tiger Woods: TW stayed mostly true to his scripting for the week except choosing khakis over gray slacks on Friday. But how did you all like that Sunday Red shirt?

Round 1 Round 2 Round 4

Francesco Molinari: The players must really like the new UV Bold Stripe Polo in grey, including Cesc. He also opted for light blue on Sunday.

Round 1 Round 4

Justin Leonard: Showing his Texas support for the second tournament in a row, JL wore the tech colorblock polo in bright ceramic – a color that closely resembles his alma mater’s colors.

Round 1 Round 3

Lucas Glover: Meteor blue and khaki seems to be a good look for G-Lover.

Round 1 Round 2

Stephen Ames: No media shots of Ames last week, the 77 on Friday didn’t help. Here are some preview day shots.

Preview 1 Preview 2

Anthony Kim: Did AK pull off the plaid pants look on Thursday? You decide. He also switched his Friday outfit with his Saturday outfit.

Round 1 Round 2

Trevor Immelman: TI looked great in his UV Rugby Stripe Polo in black, but opted for a cap instead of his visor.
