Nike Golf notched its tenth worldwide win in the 2010 season today as athlete Kevin Kisner erased a 3-shot deficit in the final round of the Nationwide Tour’s inaugural Mylan Classic to take home the title. Kisner, who is in his first full year on the Nationwide Tour, finished one better than second place finisher Geoffrey Sisk, who held the 18-, 36- and 54-hole leads. Steady play highlighted Kisner’s round on Sunday, which featured four birdies and no bogeys, and 15 of 18 greens hit in regulation. Kisner followed up three straight 68’s with a 67 on Sunday, which proved to be just good enough to take home the trophy after Sisk and challenger Steve Wheatcroft faltered on the closing holes.
Kisner joins fellow Nike athletes Jamie Lovemark and Jhonattan Vegas as winners on the Nationwide Tour in 2010, and the victory takes Kisner from 50th to 14th on the Nationwide Tour money list. Fellow athlete Chris Nallen finished T3 today with an impressive final round 66, taking him from 20th to 16th on the money list. All four athletes are now well inside the Top 25 on the Nationwide Tour money list — Lovemark is 2nd, Vegas 7th, Kisner 14th and Nallen 16th — and all look to be in good position to earn their 2011 PGA Tour cards.
Congratulations again to Kevin Kisner on a well-played final round and a well-deserved victory today!
