If you visited nikegolf.com today you may have seen that Nike Golf has officially launched its golf community site ‘The Grind’ — there’s a new tab for ‘The Grind’ in the left navigation bar between “Find Dealer” and “The Oven”. In the first phase of The Grind (Nike Golf is already saying there are more exciting things to come) there are areas for Training, Upload Your Swing, What’s In Your Bag?, and Insider Exclusives (See screen shots of each section in the gallery at the bottom of the post).
When you register and login for the first time (which I just did), you are taken to your Dashboard page. From your Dashboard you can navigate to any of the four other areas of the site:
The Training section includes videos on specific training subjects including Strength, Flexibility, Endurance, Mental Tips, and Training. You can also add videos to your favorites page.
Here you can upload a video of your golf swing, and compare it to either Nike athletes or your friends’ swings. You can also share your swing video on Facebook.
In this section you can upload the contents of your golf bag as well as a photo. If you already uploaded your bag to Nike Golf’s “What’s In Your Bag?” Facebook application, you can connect to Facebook and import your bag contents into The Grind.
Here you can view videos from Nike athletes, behind the scenes videos from The Oven and other insider content from Nike Golf.
One other interesting feature in The Grind is the “New for Your Bag?” box at the upper right, which makes product suggestions based on the information you entered into your profile when you signed up.
The Grind is a very cool and intuitive site to use, and as more content is added it will only get better and better. I’m sure Nike Golf fans will find it a fun and useful resource to improve their golf games.
