We had a great first week to our 20XI Fantasy Four contest and hopefully that continues. This week the Tour stays in Hawaii but we get our first full field to choose from. The Sony Open is always a lot of fun and this year’s star-studded field should be no different.
This is Event 2 of the NG Nation Fantasy Four Contest and it’s never too late to join, as their are monthly prizes.
For a refresher on the rules, hit the link — Contest Guidelines and leave your Fantasy Four below (don’t forget your ONE Nike Athletes).

CPetts shocked some people last week. While some people may have thought last year was a fluke, he showed up with a big T4 to start the year. Let’s not forget that in 2008 and 2007 he made over $2million and he didn’t even crack that mark in 2010. Look for CP to show up big again.
JLo has been all the buzz over the past few weeks and it’s finally time for him to show up. The kid has serious game and it’s time to show it. Good sleeper this week and for the entire year.
I made the claim that AK is healthy, now it’s time for him to prove it. He’s never played on this course, so his odds aren’t that good to win, but it’s a good that he’s stayed in Hawaii, relaxed and can work on his game now that he’s close to 100%.
We here at NGNation have profiled JB twice; here and in this press release. I think he may be a little overwhelmed with the likes of Stricker, Kuchar, Furyk and Els, but it will be a great experience for him.
other Nike athletes to choose from :: Kevin Kisner, Jhonattan Vegas, Justin Leonard
recent finishes – 1st at HTOC
While I don’t expect Byrd to start the year with back-to-back wins, his history doesn’t help. T72 in ‘10 and T69 in ‘08. He’s hot, so maybe he’ll make some noise.
recent finishes – t6 at HTOC, t9 at Shark Shootout, 18 at Chevron
In my mind, Kuchar is always hot. He’s steady and I don’t expect a let down from last year. However, Kuchar only had 2 CUT’s last year, one of them was here.
recent finishes – t4 at HTOC, t3 at Shark Shootout, 12 at Chevron
I’m in love with a Stricker..and who isn’t? He’s “straight cash, homie”. He could also be in the History section here with 3rd in ‘10, t23 in ‘09, t4 in ‘08 and t4 in ‘07.
recent finishes – 2nd at HTOC, 1st at Children’s Miracle Classic
This was supposed to be DJ’s spot, but his last two starts at technically 1,2, so I’ll give it to him. CUT here in ‘09 and an MDF in ‘08 and a T28 in ‘07.
best finishes – 1st in ‘96, 2nd in ‘97
He’s a two time champ…and he’s also really hot, ladies. Coming off of a T9 last week and an 11th at Chevron, he’s among the favourites to win.
best finishes – T12 in ‘10, 2nd in ‘05, 1st in ‘03, 1st in ‘04
Ernie is flying under the radar for some reason. Did we all forget he has a win this year? Also had a T17 last wek.
best finishes – T2 in ‘08, T2 in ‘06, T12 in ‘09
You may not like him, but 2 T2’s in recent years here gets you a spot on this list. Throw in a T39 from last year and a T34 in ‘07 and he’s averaging 18th place at this event. Wildcard city.
best finishes – 1st in ‘09, T12 in ‘10
While ZJ may not be healthy, his history here is undeniable. T23 last week could have been worse, but look for him to get back on track this week. I trust ZJ.
Ryan Palmer – T15 last week
NGN Bob :: Steve Stricker, Matt Kuchar, Jim Furyk and Anthony Kim
NGN Alan :: Jim Furyk, Jeff Overton, Marc Leishman and Jamie Lovemark
NGN Damian :: Steve Stricker, Zach Johnson, Ernie Els and Justin Leonard
Last year I tried to have more obscure picks since I don’t play for prizes, so I may try and do that again, but I can’t not pick Stricks and Kuch-daddy. Leonard is the wild card and I just look for him to start his year on the right foot..and the left one.
