On Thursday I had the opportunity to check out the PGA Merchandise Show Indoor Exhibit Hall, and if you’re a golf equipment junkie like I am, this annual event is your Nirvana. Pretty much every major manufacturer is at the show, along with apparel brands, accessories, new equipment inventions, training aids and more — if it’s a golf-related product, it’s probably there.
I also had the chance to check out more from Nike Golf — I started at the leather accessories booth that was staffed by the fine folks at Spirit Leatherworks, a Nike Golf licensee that manufactures their belts and leather goods accessories. Nicole Leatherbury from Spirit showed me around the booth and gave me a great explanation of the 2011 collection, which you can see a lot of in the photo gallery below. The collection includes lines for both men and women, and both are very cool. They also have a great new line of webbed belts that are worth checking out. We’ll be doing a separate post on these leather accessories, so keep your eye out for that.
I then moved on to check out the equipment testing area where Nike Golf had a few tents set up to test out the 2011 equipment line, similar to what was at the Outdoor Demo Day. From there I had a chance to preview the rest of the 2011 apparel collection, which was set up in a separate room for buyers at the show. You can get a sneak peek at what’s to come later in the year in the photo gallery below.
After checking out the apparel line it was time for me to head back to the airport, so until next year’s show I hope my posts give you a feel for what it was like to be at the show, and the great things to come from Nike Golf for the 2011 golf season.
