After Tiger’s hot Top 10 at the WGC Cadillac Championship, he headed to Isleworth for the Tavistock Cup. Tiger was on Team Albany which consisted of himself along with;
- Arjun Atwal
- Ernie Els
- Trevor Immelman
- Ian Poulter
- Justin Rose
This two-day event consisted of 2 rounds.The first round consisted of a Team Better Ball format. Tiger was teamed with Arjun Atwal and they shot 8-under.
The second and final day consisted of singles stroke play. Tiger was in Group 5 with McDowell, O’Hair and Darren Clarke. Tiger won the group by shooting 3-under par.
Overall, Team Albany finished in 2nd place with a score of -27. Lake Nona won with a score of -43. It’s quite insane and they dominated singles stroke play.
For Tiger, I think the more he plays the better. Tiger actually seemed to be having fun. The more he plays, the more enjoyable the game is to him. I really think he’s getting to a good place. The ultimate comeback to him is winning at the Masters. Don’t get it twisted, that is Tiger’s goal. I think he has a great chance to do it, especially after his play over the last 5 days. I thought winning at Doral would be a big step, but he kept his Top 10 streak alive there, with a huge 6-under round on Sunday. Now Tiger knows he can bring it on Sunday. Watch out.
