Another great day of improvement. I will say this, Michelle Wie is the truth. I think she’s going to pick up a major this year, along with another regular tournament win.
4 :: Michelle Wie :: 74 67 69 :: -6
after round 2, T8
Michelle made a nice move on moving day. Michelle had 5 birdies and 2 bogeys. She regressed a little since round 2, but hit 13/18 GIR, improving on the 12 she hit yesterday. This was Michelle’s best back 9, as she shot 33. A great sign for tomorrow. The only thing going against michelle is that she’s 6 shots back.
T28 :: Suzann Pettersen :: 75 71 72 :: +2
after round 2, T36
Suzann has increased her total birdies each day, so I would look forward to a big jump tomorrow. SPetts had 3 birdies, a bogey and a double. The double was really too bad on hole 12, which she made par on each of the first 2 rounds. Suzann is still somewhat struggling with the putter, making 30 total putts, still the best round of her tournament thus far. However, I woud look for a big jump from her tomorrow.
T49 :: Amanda Blumenherst :: 74 73 73 :: +4
after round 2, T47
Two birdies, three bogeys. Not a bad day. I can’t see her improving much. She’s playing consistently though.
The leader is currently Yani Tseng (last year’s winner) at 12-under par. Here’s a look at the tee times for Round 4;
Group 13 | Tee 1 @ 12:14pm EDT | Amanda Blumenherst and So Yeon Ryu
Group 23 | Tee 1 @ 1:52pm EDT| Suzann Pettersen and Ariya Juntanugarn
Group 37 | Tee 1 @ 4:06pm EDT | Michelle Wie and Morgan Pressel
