What a great second round! I can’t wait to jump all over moving day! 7 groups still have to finish their 2nd round, but it is pretty much impossible for the cut line to move. It’s pretty much in the books.
T15 :: Charl Schwartzel :: 68 74 :: E
Charl had 1 bogey yesterday, today he had 5 (with 2 birdies). I think the tougher part is that he bogeyed some holes that he birdies yesterday. However, he’s in great shape and should have some things figured out for tomorrow. However, in total, he’s only birdies 5 holes on the course. On the other hand, McIlroy has birdied 8 of the 18 holes, same with Y.E. Yang.
Round 3 – Group 28 @ 2:30pm with Seung Yul-Noh
T44 :: Lucas Glover :: 76 69 :: +3
G’Lover jumped up 67 spots today. That’s champion heart. 6 birdies on the day for Lucas. Should have a great day again on Saturday.
Round 3 – Group 13 @ 12:00pm with Rory Sabbatini
T56 :: Anthony Kim :: 74 72 :: +4
4 birdies and 5 bogeys in his 2nd round. AK’s putting really keeps him in the game (59 putts in 36 holes), especially where he has only hit 8/28 fairways . I think he’s going to make a huge move on Saturday.
Round 3 – Group 4 @ 10:30pm with Luke Donald
—– CUT LINE (+4) —–
CUT :: Stewart Cink :: 70 77 :: +5
Cink dropped 63 spots today. Ouch! That bogey on the last hole cost him playing on the weekend.
CUT :: Paul Casey :: 73 74 :: +5
Double bogey on hole 18 hurt Casey. I’m quite surprised actually, because he hit 23/36 GIR, so that’s too bad for PC.
CUT :: Francesco Molinari :: 75 74 :: +7
Tough go for Molinari after starting the tournament so well. He hit 23/28 fairways, but still shot +7. Hard to believe, I’d say.
