Yes, I just watched the 28 minute press conference on PGATour.com. Usually, I just read the transcripts, but I wanted to see his goatee and I wanted to see him.
I’ll say this right now; Tiger seems relaxed. In previous presser’s I think Tiger has seemed very defensive, but in this interview? Calm, cool, talkative and not being short with reporters. We’ll see!
Here’s what Tiger had to say about his left leg;
The great thing is I don’t feel a thing. It feels solid, it feels stable, no pain. As I said, that’s one of the reasons why I took as long as I did to come back is that I want to get to this point where I can go ahead and start playing golf again like this. It’s been a very long time, and it feels good to go out there today and hit balls like this, go practice and feel nothing and walk around and pretty much do anything I want on the golf course.
What are his expectations this week?
I’m just focused on trying to win a golf tournament. That’s it.
That last line gets me excited. Sure, Tiger finished almost dead last one year ago, but his 7 wins and 10 Top 10s here in the past 11 years is insane.
