With the first two rounds of the World Golf Championships – Bridgestone Invitational complete it’s time to choose the best dressed Nike Athletes.
For round one, I’m going to have to give it to Tiger Woods. And it wasn’t just the new soft-spike Nike Free inspired shoes that he’s wearing this week, its the fit of the shirt, and the ability to wear a magenta shirt and look masculine on the golf course. Tiger’s shirt comes from the Nike TW Collection and had subtle vertical ribbing. In contrast to previous TW Collection polos, this one appeared to be more stretchy and cool, which probably helped during the hot Akron weather. TW encountered a little bit of a sweat issue towards the end of his round, but what can you say, the dude works out, and he sweats a lot.
Tough call for round two, but I’m giving it to Jhonattan Vegas. It’s difficult to make a giant guy (the Venezuelan is 6’2″, 230) look good in form fitting gear, but luckily Vegas is super athletic and can pull of Nike’s new polos. The one he is wearing in this picture is not out yet, but it features cool contrast banding with a stylish placket. I also love the piping on Vegas’ white belt, as it pairs perfectly with his top.
Hopefully we’ll see more new styles during Round 3 and 4.
