The Omega Mission Hills World Cup is an event that goes by every year without enough attention. It’s a fun event that 28 countries compete in with teams of 2 golfers. This year is the 56th anniversary of the event.
In the past 11 World Cups, there have been 7 Nike golf athletes on the winning team. Check it out below;
2009 – Italy (Francesco Molinari and Edoardo Molinari)
2007 – Scotland (Marc Warren and Colin Montgomerie)
2004 – England (Paul Casey and Luke Donald)
2003 – South Africa (Trevor Immelman and Rory Sabbatini)
2000 – United States (David Duval and Tiger Woods)
1999 – United States (Tiger Woods and Mark O’Meara)
This year, the swoosh is represented by two athletes;
Team Italy – Francesco Molinari and Edoardo Molinari
Team South Africa – Charl Schwartzel and Louis Oosthuizen
They will be going against the likes of Woodland/Kuchar, McIlroy/McDowell, Karlsson/Noren and Poulter/Rose.
