** Paul Casey ** WD Monday
3rd at last year’s US Open. Cut at Memorial, but 41st at Colonial.

Missed cut at last 3 US Opens. WD at The Players, but 12th, 24th and 36th in 3 starts prior to that.
Won in 2009, 58th and 42nd in the past two years. Coming off of a 46th place at Memorial.
Missed cuts at last 2 US Opens, but 27th in 2009. Last 4 starts; 46th Wales Open, 7th BMW PGA, cut at Players, 1st at Open de Espana. Could be a good pick this week.
First start at a US Open since 2009. Last 3 Open starts; 36th, 6th and 17th. Very good record. He’s alternating between good finishes and cuts, but has 3 Top 10’s (including a win) in his last 8 starts.
9th at last year’s US Open and 16th in 2010. Last 3 starts; 19th, 18th and 6th. Top notch pick.
First US Open ever. Missed cut at Wales Open, but 27th at BMW PGA and 32nd at Open de Espana.
Tiger’s last 5 starts are as follows; 1st, T40, Cut, T40, 1st. He was T18 here in 1998 and while he DNP in 2011, he had 4 straight Top 6 finishes at the US Open. When Tiger won the Memorial in ’09, he finished 6th at the US Open.
recent finishes – 12th Memorial, 1st BMW PGA, 6th Players, 3rd Zurich
He’s never made a Top 10 at the US Open. Hard to believe, right? Top 50’s the past two years and a T12 in ’06 was his best go.
Recent finishes – 2nd Colonial, 1st Byron Nelson, 68th Players, 1st Zurich, 24th Heritage, 24th Masters, 15th Bay Hill, 10th Transitions

LAST WEEK’S WINNERS
Dustin Johnson @ FedEx St. Jude Classic
Back in form. 4/4 at US Open’s with a 23rd last year and 8th place in 2010.
Lee Westwood @ Nordea Masters
Good win for Lee, but 1 week too early. Last 4 starts at the US Open; 3rd, 16th, 23rd, 3rd. I really think he could win.
Best finishes at this event – 1st in ’10, 14th in ’11, 18th in ’09, 30th in ’07
His last 4 starts here have been his best. Last 3 starts have all been missed cuts though.
Best finishes at this event – 2nd in ’99, ’02, ’04, ’06, ’09. 4th in ’10 and ’95
Phil WD at Memorial, but had a 7th place finish at the Byron Nelson. Phil won’t surprise me with a Top 5 and heck, maybe it’s his time to win.
Bonus – Sergio Garcia
Last 4 starts at US Open’s have been Top 25’s (7th in ’11, 22nd in ’10, 10th in ’09, 18th in ’08). Also coming off of 3 straight Top 15’s.
Alan :: Jason Dufner, Phil Mickelson, Lee Westwood and Tiger Woods
Bob :: Matt Kuchar, Phil Mickelson, Luke Donald and Tiger Woods
Damian :: Steve Stricker, Sergio Garcia, Lee Westwood and Tiger Woods
As always, very difficult to choose. I think all of my picks are great. My ‘risky’ pick is Westwood, just because he won last week.. but he generally follows up W’s well. If I didn’t go with Westy, I’d go with Rors because I know he’s playing for so much with three missed cuts, a Tiger win and a blown lead last week.
Phil usually plays well in California, too. Lots of choices!
My sleeper picks are; Justin Rose, Steve Stricker and Sergio Garcia. I would throw Kuchar in there too, but I don’t think he’s a sleeper.
