Here’s a deal I’m excited to tell you all about — the Nike Departure Messenger Bag is on sale this week at Budget Golf for $49.96, that’s half off the regular price. If you are at least casually interested in this bag, I suggest picking one up, especially for this great price. Here’s why:
I’ve had this bag since last December, and I use this bag every day as my briefcase. It is super-durable — I load this thing to the gills almost every day with files, books, hard drives, my laptop, cables, chargers and a bunch of my other everyday stuff, and it has showed almost no signs of wear in 9 months. It has tons of room in the main compartment, a separate padded laptop compartment with a separate cable pocket inside that, that safely transports my laptop wherever I go. At the airport I can unzip the laptop pocket so it lays flat on the x-ray belt so I don’t have to take the laptop out.
Outside the main compartment there are two horizontal pockets where I keep important papers, my checkbook, business cards and things like that. It has a place for pens, and there’s even a lanyard sewn into one of the pockets where you can clip a set of keys. The main compartment is covered with a large fold-over flap (typical of a messenger bag) that has a pocket on the outside, which I use for often accessed items like sunglasses, and I even throw my keys in there when I’m in a hurry. The shoulder strap is nice and wide and has a comfortable non-slip pad to keep it on my shoulder.
The bottom line on the Nike Departure Messenger bag for me: I LOVE THIS BAG! I use it every day, it’s stood up to some serious abuse without showing any wear and tear, it has room for all my stuff and more, and it’s my go-to bag for work and travel.
If you’re in the market for a new bag, I say jump on this deal right away!
