The VR_S Covert Hybrid has been on the market for about 6 weeks now, I’ve hit this club at the range a few times but haven’t gamed it on the course yet. My initial impression from my range sessions is that the hybrid — like the driver and fairway wood — is solid, long (really long), accurate and forgiving. I love the solid feel, forgiveness on off-center hits, distance and accuracy I’m seeing from this hybrid in my range testing.
I’ll go into more detail in my product review, but I wanted to get some first look pics on the blog for you to see — Nike Golf sent me the Performance 3-hybrid to test and review, which I will be doing in the coming weeks. As you can see from the pics, it has the same cavity back technology as the Performance driver and fairway wood, it is glued and does not feature the Flex Loft technology (the Tour version does), and has the same Kuro Kage shaft and Golf Pride Tour Velvet grip as the driver and fairway wood (50 gram in the driver, 60 gram in the fairway wood, 70 gram in the hybrid). I can’t wait to test it on the course, and after I do I’ll post my review here on the blog, but for now check out the pics in the gallery below.
