We are virtually in golf’s off season so I thought I would take some time to highlight one of my old favorite Nike Golf shoes – the Zoom Elite. These throwback posts will appear from time to time and I am always open to suggestions about your favorite Nike Golf products from years past. So please feel free to chime in via the Comments section and I will see if I can do a post about it.
The Zoom Elite was originally offered in the U.S. in white/white, black/black, white/black, and white/brown/red colorways, but a number of additional models crept up internationally and for special occasions.
The Zoom Elite was the shoe that I wore when I first really got serious about golf and so it is near and dear to my heart. It featured cool styling, a great silhouette, and the power platform. I also feel that it marked Nike Golf’s transition from traditional golf shoes to more traditional/sport or athletic shoes. It may have served as the pre-cursor to the shoes we have today like the Lunar Control.
Who else had this pair of Nike Golf shoes?
