I just wanted to post a note of appreciation to the kind folks at Nike Golf who helped support The First Tee of Metropolitan New York’s Young Benefactors annual fundraiser on Friday, April 11. As a member of the organization and one of this year’s event hosts, I am greatly appreciative of any kind of support for The First Tee which helps kids through the game of golf. Nike kindly donated a Method MOD 00 putter for our silent auction, and while I don’t know what it went for, I know at one point early on there were a couple bids. Here’s a pic of one of the display:
Here’s another pic of the event. We had a 50 foot putting green in the event space for a putting contest and the winner won a variety of prizes including a Nike Golf Premium Weatherized Zip Up courtesy of Golf Coast Pickers. So thanks to Matt at GCP for assisting as well.
In this picture, we are presenting a check to a high school student as part of the Path to College program from The First Tee. He was very well spoken and appreciated all that the program has taught him. If you’re looking to get involved with The First Tee, check out www.thefirsttee.org.
