Even though the below-freezing temperatures here in the New York City area have prevented me from testing the 2015 Vapor Pro irons, I wanted to share pictures of the new irons with you all, as I have already fielded many questions about them on both my Twitter account (@AN_Golf) and the NGN Twitter account (@NGNation).
By now, you have probably heard about all three versions of the Vapor Iron series – Pro, Pro Combo, and Speed. NGN Bob posted his first look at the Vapor Pro Combos here. These photos are intended to show you the craftsmanship of the Vapor Pro irons, which have blade profiles throughout the set – meaning a lower face height for most irons.
The Vapor Pros are made from one-piece forged 1025 carbon steel with Modern Muscle geometry, and complete the evolution of the much acclaimed MMPrototype irons. All irons feature Nike’s X3X groove technology on the face, True Temper Dynamic Gold S300 shafts, Golf Pride Tour Velvet grips and Volt color accents on the back of the head and on the grip.
I can’t wait to take these out for a spin again since the last time I hit the irons was in August at the Vapor launch event at Liberty National. For those of you like me who play a Pro Combo set already, hopefully these comparison pics will help address any questions you may have. But as always, feel free to ask me questions via the comment box or on our Twitter account.
