Nike Golf athlete Michelle Wie adds two more pairs of the Nike Blazer to her collection this week as she competes for Team USA at the Solheim Cup in Germany. Nike designers created two patriotic themed colorways for Wie. At a request from Wie, the shoes feature an array of colors from the sockliner to the laces. The gold highlights are a subtle reminder of her goal to win the tournament. Wiezy, Wie’s nickname, can be found on the heel and dubrae.
A member of Team Europe, Suzann Pettersen will also tee off in a special edition shoe. Pettersen’s Nike FI Impact 2 design draws inspiration from the European Union flag while also paying homage to Nike’s heritage with a racer blue and volt colorway. Her childhood nickname, Tutta, also appears on the shoe.
These shoes are not available for purchase and are specifically designed for the 2015 Solheim Cup.
