Summer is officially over and over here in the east coast, we are definitely feeling it. It’s got me in the mood to explore my favorite outerwear pieces from the 2014 Autumn/Winter Nike Golf collection. Here goes:
Technically, this crew neck sweatshirt was available last year, but this year Nike Golf’s sport collection offers it in the popular grey color. I actually own this sweatshirt in the Blue colorway but now I’m thinking I have to get both.
The sweatshirt is made from 100% Dri-FIT polyester so it won’t stretch or pill like typical cotton sweatshirts do. It is also from the Sport Collection so it has a nice conforming fit to the body. I wear this sweatshirt around the house and off the golf course more than on, but it is a perfect sweatshirt for either. MSRP: $80
I LOVE this jacket! New for 2014 is a warm version of the popular Hyperadapt rain jacket.
This time the jacket not only protects against rain and wind, but also against the cold. Just like the rain version, this jacket is seam-sealed so its waterproof, and it has the same 4-way stretch in the shoulders for maximum movement.
The unique quilted styling is a nice touch, and it comes in a slimmer cut, which is great off the course. MSRP: $280
The idea of a quilted vest for golf first caught my eye in a Nike Golf catalog a few years ago where Anthony Kim was used as the model. In this latest iteration, the Thermal Mapping vest combines knit and lightly filled woven sections for warmth and comfort. The vest is also wind and water resistant and it looks great in Game Royal.
Made from 100% recycled polyester, the back of the vest has a heathered panel to provide contrast, and added comfort. The same stretchy heathered material is also found around the arms. And for those that are not into vests, this also come in a full jacket with the heathered material extended all the way to a full sleeve. I would totally wear this to work as well. MSRP: $130.00
