2012 Fantasy Four Season Recap

This is it. The end of the 2012 Regular Season. It came right down to the end. Here’s a quick glance at this week’s stats;

  • Entries :: 42
  • Tournament Winner :: Brandt Snedeker (2 selections)
  • Average Points ::  39.81 (50.89 last week)

  • FedEx Cup Monthly Winner: Method or Method Core Putter (your choice) – Ben R (by tiebreak)
  • 2nd place FedEx Cup Winner: 12 20XI-X balls – Luis
Tiebreak came down to 3 different picks through the FedEx Cup playoffs Ben had 2, 7 and 54. Luis had 10, 10 and 28. By a head to head comparison of picks, Ben won the tiebreak. 

2nd Half Winner

  • Second half winner: VR_S Hybrid – Paul Manbeck

Overall Winners

  • Season Grand Prize: VR_S Iron Set – Chris Wang
  • Season Second Prize: VR_S Driver – Ned Brown

Chris Wang continues to dominate our fantasy contests. He also won our FIRST Fantasy Four in 2010..and maybe the 2011 Fall Series. There were 12 people in total. This year we had 97 total.

A big thank you to all of you for playing. I’m sorry for the delay in the month of July and part of August. I was thrilled to have such a good (and consistent) turn out this year. I’m very thankful to all of you for playing.

Alan went from a 31 point lead last week, to a 41 point this week. Paul Manbeck holds the winning position.

Fantasy Four Recap :: FedEx Cup Deutsche Bank

What a points explosion… I’m sure the 4 people who picked Louis Oosthuizen were hoping he could pull out the win. However, Rory McIlroy played steady and went low all week. He’s #1 in the world and it’s not showing off, if you back it up.

Two way tie with a huge total. It’s only fitting that David Mullen shares the dinner, since it was a home-cooked meal for him.

Last week, Alan was in 2nd place.. now he has a 31 point lead. However, the prize battle is between Paul Manbeck and Anthony M.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: JULY FANTASY FOUR RESULTS

Hey There Fantasy Four Players!

Bob here with an important announcement regarding the July Fantasy Four — Damian is on vacation and unavailable for the next three weeks, so here’s what we’ll be doing this month for the picks and results posts:

I will be doing the announcement posts for the next three (3) weeks, they will be the limited posts I usually do in Damian’s absence, those will be posted each week on Monday or early Tuesday per usual.

The results posts will be held until the end of the month — Damian will do all four results posts when he returns, and the weekly results for all four weeks, as well as the monthly winner for July, will be posted on Monday July 30th or Tuesday July 31st.

Thanks in advance for your understanding here, as I want to have Damian tally the results in his usual expert fashion. Alan and I will be focusing on keeping the site content going for the next three weeks including the upcoming Open Championship.
