Despite missing the hot putter he had on Thursday and missing out on his 15th major, Tiger Woods did win Round 4’s Best Dressed distinction. TW, in his traditional red on black ensemble, looked great in his Ultra Light Stripe Polo in Action Red, which was cut perfectly, and his black trousers had a slimmer fit than his typical relaxed fit pants. The Ultra Light Stripe Polo also comes in Fireberry and White.
Congrats to 2012 PGA Champion Rory McIlroy, who pretty much left the rest of the field in the dust on Sunday. A tough day for Nike’s Carl Pettersson who received a two-stroke penalty on the first hole for grounding his club in a hazard, but kudos to CP for battling back and ending up with a T3 finish. Tiger just couldn’t get anything going, and ended up with an even par 72 and a T11 finish.
The next big events coming up are the FedEx Cup Playoffs that culminate with the Tour Championship in Atlanta, then it’s the Ryder Cup at Medinah.
Here are the final results for the Nike Athletes at the 2012 PGA Championship:
Round 2 goes to co-leader Carl Pettersson, who hasn’t exactly been sticking to his scripting. CP was slated to wear the new Bold Stripe polo in Atomic Green white white trousers but instead went with grey pants and a pink/blue polo. He paired it with his trademark Tour-only visor and the LE Lunar Controls for the Open Championship.

*Editor’s Note: We’ll post the Round 3 tee times tomorrow morning after Joost Luiten completes his round and the Round 3 pairings are announced.
Swooshes who made the cut: C-Petts and Tiger share the lead. Francesco’s five back, Charl’s seven back.
Here are the Round 1 results for all Nike Athletes in the field of the 2012 PGA Championship:
Bob just got official word that Nike is not doing a limited edition package for the PGA Championship – which was one of my favorite parts of the Majors. So I took it upon myself to design two shoes for the season’s last Major. Have a look and let me know what you think.

This week I will be assessing the Nike Athletes and their scripting to call out who I think is the best dressed.
Round 1 goes to South African Charl Schwartzel who donned a faux full-button heather polo from the Tour Premium line. The shirt comes in four colors, including the Magenta Heather version Charl wore on Thursday. The other colors include Black Heather, Smokey Heather, and Monsoon Blue Heather. The top has a faux full-button look which means that the middle buttons are seamed shut while the top buttons and the bottom button have functionality. Schwartzel paired it with a stone-colored pair of trousers and the Lunar Control golf shoe.
